Bredband2 in Scandinavia AB (publ) is a broadband provider of high-speed Internet connections based on optical fiber in local area networks (LAN), primarily to individuals in urban networks, public apartment buildings and condominiums, as well as to businesses. The company is one of the largest providers of fiber internet access to private individuals, with a presence in over 130 cities from Malmö in the south to Luleå in the north.

Qliro AB, “Qliro Financial Services”, is a Nordic fintech company founded 2014 focusing on B2C and B2B2C payments and consumer credit solutions and services, primarily BNPL products.

Not only is it the home of the best IT consultants in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Östersund, Luleå, Malmö, and Linköping, Cygni is four times DI Gasell, four times VA Superföretag, and – most importantly – seven consecutive times Great Place To Work’s “Best Workplace in Sweden” (2014-2020)!

Acquired by Accenture in April 2021.

Finland’s best known, most visited and the largest Finnish online retailer, Verkkokauppa.com Oyj offers over 50,000 products on 26 different main product categories. The company sells products probably always cheaper, utilizing its low cost structure.

In 2016 company revenue was 371 million euros and EBIT was 12.2 million euros. The company employs over 550 people.

I was invited to join the Board of Directors to further strengthen the technology savvy on the Board level.

GiG is a technology company operating in the iGaming industry, offering cutting edge Cloud-based services and Performance Marketing through our B2B solutions. GiG provides its customers with the technology, solutions and services to create an amazing experience for their users.

All the assignments in this category until May 2025 have been as a consultant for Cygni. Robert co-founded Cygni in 2006, and it has been quite a journey. There are a lot of things to say and a lot of things he is proud of about Cygni, but in this small space, he just want to highlight the awards from Great Place to Work (the World’s biggest employee survey) where Cygni was ranked as the best workplace in Sweden seven years, and the best in Europe five years!

Cygni was acquired by Accenture in 2021.

Below are some of the most significant assignments Robert has had as a consultant for Cygni. Outside of these assignments, he has supported his colleagues in Cygni with sales, recruitment, professional development, and shorter analysis and advisory assignments.

Futur Pension (previously owned by Danske Bank, under the brand of Danica Pension) is a digitalised Swedish insurance company. The company offers private individuals and corporations comprehensive solutions within occupational pensions, endowment insurance, private pensions, and life insurance.

An inspiring startup – Imagien wants to disrupt the offline, live, entertainment industry by taking it online. While the company had a working prototype, I was hired to get both product development and tech operations in order. Together with the CEO, we invented, defined, hired, and planned out the next phase for the product, and indeed the company.

Blocket is Sweden’s dominating C2C marketplace, since 20+ years back. Robert was hired as interim CTO while Blocket was looking for a permanent candidate.

While helping Qliro to find a permanent CTO, it became necessary for me to take on the interim role myself for a few months.

Skincity is an online skincare clinic that offers a finely-tuned selection of professional skincare products and make-up. It is also a profitable online retailer grossing 280+ mSEK.

Robert was assisting Skincity in plotting the future direction from a technology point of view, looking (as he usually does) on the People, Process and Platform aspects of technology.

Mediaplanet Group was a content marketing powerhouse. Headquartered in Stockholm, they had approximately 500 employees in 20+ offices in 15 countries.

Robert was assisting MP Group in finding and executing a strategic direction for the group-wide Technology department.

Head of Bisnode Group’s Development and IT Operations. 400+ technology staff and consultants, based in 13 European countries. Member of Bisnode’s Group Executive Management Team.

Head of SBAB’s IT Development and Operations, including Business Intelligence and Project Office. Member of SBAB’s Executive Management team.

The earlier consultant company was rebooted with some friends from university who had run a very similar company in parallel with Robert’s.

After a few years at OM Group, Robert and a colleague started their own consulting company. Most of the assignments were related to financial exchange technology, in C++ or Java.

Robert’s first real job! OM Group / OM Technology / OMX, now Nasdaq OMX, was at that point a marketplace for standardized options and futures contracts. They also sold their exchange technology to other marketplaces. Robert was part of the small team that developed the Windows trading client for the OM platform. The client was written in C++ and used the MFC framework.
